Bonus Bowling is, basically, betting on the results of two throws of a bowling ball as you try to predict how many pins are knocked down. The higher you bet and the more balls that are knocked down, the better you do. You have no control over the actual throw itself, so you just bet on what you feel is the most likely outcome. Oddly absorbing.

How to Play

This is one of the most simple arcade games there is. You basically have to bet on how many pins you believe will be knocked down in two throws. If you bet on zero to three balls to be knocked down and are right, you win two times (x2) your stake. For four to six pins, you win x3. Seven to nine pins will net you x5 your bet, a spare is worth x10 and a full strike is worth x25.

You can bet between $0.10 and $100 and you can bet on as many outcomes of the same two throws as you want, even all of them if you so desire. When you've finished placing your bet(s), you press the 'Throw' button and watch as the balls are thrown at the pins, hopefully knocking down the number you bet on. You can play as many times as you wish with the same bets, or you can change your options before each new set of two throws.

Review

This is basic at it's best; nothing genius, just luck and a bit of common sense. Like most games it tends to go in cycles, so do vary your bets between the amount of pins to be knocked down, and you should see a return - I did in the short time I spent playing it.

The graphics are excellent, the sound effects realistic without being annoying, and the entire game is presented in a user-friendly and understandable way. A thoroughly enjoyable way to hopefully earn a bit of a money, with a top prize of $25,000 if you bet $100 on a strike.
